Guvernul a transmis că premierul Ilie Bolojan a luat act de demisia ministrului Apărării Ionuț Moșteanu.
Totodată Ilie Bolojan a mai precizat că îi va propune președintelui Nicușor Dan ca interimatul să fie asigurat de Radu Miruță, ministrul Economiei.
„Am luat act de demisia domnului Ionuț Moșteanu din funcția de ministru al Apărării Naționale și vicepremier al guvernului României. Îi mulțumesc pentru activitatea depusă în exercitarea mandatului. Îi voi propune președintelui României ca interimatul funcției să fie asigurat de dl Radu Miruță, ministrul Economiei, Digitalizării, Antreprenoriatului și Turismului”, a precizat Ilie Bolojan, premierul României.

Ionuţ Moşteanu a anunțat azi că îşi depune demisia din funcţia de ministru al Apărării Naţionale.
"Mi-am depus astăzi demisia din funcţia de ministru al Apărării Naţionale. Am discutat cu preşedintele, cu premierul, cu preşedintele partidului, cu o parte dintre colegii din USR şi le mulţumesc pentru susţinere şi încredere. Fac acest gest cu asumare şi respect faţă de Armata Română. România şi Europa sunt sub asaltul Rusiei. Securitatea noastră naţională trebuie apărată cu orice preţ. Nu vreau ca discuţiile despre formarea mea şi greşelile pe care le-am făcut acum mulţi ani să-i distragă de la misiunea grea pe cei care conduc acum ţara", scrie Moşteanu, vineri, pe pagina sa de Facebook.
El le mulţumeşte colegilor pentru munca depusă în aceste cinci luni. Totodată, subliniază că în cele cinci luni de mandat şi-a respectat jurământul făcut cu mâna pe Biblie.
"Am jurat să-mi dăruiesc toată puterea şi priceperea pentru a avea o Armată bine dotată, mai bine motivată şi mai bine înzestrată. Şi am făcut asta în fiecare zi - am întărit relaţiile cu aliaţii, am urmărit şi accelerat programele de înzestrare, am dat un mesaj clar împotriva băieţilor deştepţi cu interese în domeniu, am îmbunătăţit cadrul legal, am apărat drepturile celor care servesc patria. Vă mulţumesc pentru încredere, pentru mesaje şi pentru răbdare. Mulţumesc şi familiei mele pentru susţinerea necondiţionată în aceste luni, fără de care mi-ar fi fost imposibil să-mi exercit mandatul", precizează Moşteanu.
Reprezentantul USR adaugă că a făcut acest pas "cu toată conştiinţa unui om care iubeşte ţara" pe care o serveşte.
"Şi un gând despre viitor - România este prinsă între unii care au capturat-o şi sunt mufaţi la banii publici şi unii care vor să îi dea foc şi să o abată de la parcursul proeuropean şi euro-atlantic. La mijloc sunt câţiva oameni buni (buni, nu perfecţi) care ţin echilibrul şi direcţia corectă - Nicuşor Dan, Ilie Bolojan, colegii din USR, de multe ori cu sacrificii enorme. Ei merită în continuare sprijinul şi încrederea noastră, a tuturor, poate chiar mai mult decât până acum. Dumnezeu să ocrotească România!", a transmis Ionuţ Moşteanu.

The government announced that Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan has taken note of the resignation of Defense Minister Ionuț Moșteanu.
At the same time, Ilie Bolojan also stated that he will propose to President Nicușor Dan that the interim position be ensured by Radu Miruță, Minister of Economy.
"I have taken note of the resignation of Mr. Ionuț Moșteanu from the position of Minister of National Defense and Deputy Prime Minister of the Romanian government. I thank him for the work he has done in exercising his mandate. I will propose to the President of Romania that the interim position be ensured by Mr. Radu Miruță, Minister of Economy, Digitalization, Entrepreneurship and Tourism," stated Ilie Bolojan, Prime Minister of Romania.
Defense Minister Ionuț Moșteanu Resigns After Scandal Regarding His Studies and CV Inconsistencies
Ionuț Moșteanu announced today that he is resigning from the position of Minister of National Defense.
"I submitted my resignation from the position of Minister of National Defense today. I discussed with the president, the prime minister, the party president, some of my colleagues from the USR and I thank them for their support and trust. I am making this gesture with responsibility and respect for the Romanian Army. Romania and Europe are under Russian assault. Our national security must be defended at all costs. I do not want discussions about my education and the mistakes I made many years ago to distract those who are now leading the country from the difficult mission," Moșteanu wrote on his Facebook page on Friday.
He thanked his colleagues for the work they have done in these five months. At the same time, he emphasizes that during the five months of his mandate, he respected the oath he took with his hand on the Bible.
"I swore to give all my strength and skill to have a well-equipped, better motivated and better endowed Army. And I did this every day - I strengthened relations with allies, I followed and accelerated the endowment programs, I gave a clear message against smart guys with interests in the field, I improved the legal framework, I defended the rights of those who serve the homeland. Thank you for the trust, for the messages and for the patience. I also thank my family for the unconditional support during these months, without which it would have been impossible for me to exercise my mandate", specifies Moşteanu.
The USR representative adds that he took this step "with all the conscience of a man who loves the country" he serves.
"And a thought about the future - Romania is caught between some who have captured it and are being robbed of public money and some who want to set it on fire and divert it from the pro-European and Euro-Atlantic path. In the middle are a few good people (good, not perfect) who keep the balance and the right direction - Nicuşor Dan, Ilie Bolojan, the colleagues from the USR, often with enormous sacrifices. They still deserve our support and trust, everyone's, maybe even more than before. May God protect Romania!", Ionuţ Moşteanu sent.
