SAFE for Romania
Romania has accessed 16.68 billion euros from the EU's SAFE program.
Of these, 12.4 billion euros are for strengthening the defense industry, with a minimum of 50% production localization in Romania.
And the remaining 4.28 billion euros are for infrastructure and military mobility (dual-role use, both military and civilian).
The projects must be sent to the European analysis committee by November 29, 2025.
